Examples demonstrate usage. Actual translations may differ with message context.
- Select your language with the flag-marked TR / EN buttons at the top right of the login screen. In game, you can also change it beside the Tooltip button.
- Choose TR for the original Volantis presentation or EN for the English interface. TR does not translate names such as Tailor, Horse and Black Pearl into Turkish. Open menus update when you switch languages; the client saves your choice and applies it to the character you enter the game with.
- Translated player messages end with (çeviri) when TR is selected and (translated) when EN is selected.

Abbreviations and game terminology
Common chat abbreviations, Turkish words typed without accented letters and in-game town abbreviations are also recognized. Town names, amounts, coordinates and links are preserved. Your own messages are not translated on your screen; translation follows the recipient's language preference.

The meaning of the local translation
Chat is processed by a local translation model in Volantis's own service. It is not sent to Google Translate or another third-party translation service. Players do not each install a large model; the client requests translations from the Volantis server.
Which Messages Are Translated?
The EN interface uses the English catalogue bundled with the client, without waiting for a translation service when opening menus. TR shows the existing text unchanged and does not apply additional Turkish translations. Player chat uses the local translation model. Character and guild names, editable text, numbers, commands and spell incantations are preserved. Messages already in the selected language do not receive an unnecessary translation label. If the service fails or times out, the original message is shown. Abbreviations and game terminology may not always translate perfectly.
