Web Client: play in your browser

Open the browser game from the site’s Web Client link. There is no separate installer to run; the required game files download to your browser.

Enter the game from the website

  1. Open Web Client from the website menu. Use an up-to-date desktop browser with hardware acceleration enabled.
  2. Wait for the client components and game data to be prepared. Press Start game if prompted; Google and Discord sign-in remain unavailable until file checks finish.
  3. When sign-in is ready, choose Google or Discord. Use the same account with the same provider to access your existing characters. A ready client cannot connect to an offline game server.

Follow the loading screen

Client components are prepared first, followed by the required game data. Expand Loading details to see the current operation. The counter can remain unchanged while a large file is being processed; this alone does not mean you need to reload.

  • Wait while progress continues; the first load depends on your connection and computer.
  • A message explains longer operations. Use the on-screen retry option if an actual error occurs or progress stops for an extended period.
  • The page does not repeatedly reload itself. If an error occurs, include the message from Loading details in your support request.

Cached data on later visits

Verified startup data is stored in the same browser. Each visit checks the version again, reuses valid cached data and downloads missing or damaged data as needed. Large client components are also transferred in compressed form. This reduces repeat downloads; there is no fixed startup time for every computer.

  • Use the same browser profile. Private browsing, clearing site data or switching browsers may require another download.
  • If the cache is unavailable, the client loads and verifies data from the network. File verification and account sign-in checks still apply.

Web, Guide, Forum and Discord shortcuts

The four shortcuts at the top left are available from the first loading screen. Web opens the website, Guide opens the manual, Forum opens the community pages, and Discord opens the Volantis invitation. To sign into your game account, use the Google or Discord sign-in button instead. These four shortcuts open in a new tab without a confirmation dialog; your client tab stays open.

Keep using the same account and characters

Windows and Web Client connect to the same game server. Use the same account with the same provider to access your existing characters. Google and Discord sign-ins are not merged automatically. If you sign in with a different provider or account, you may not see your existing characters. Characters are stored on the server; clearing browser settings does not delete your character.

Game area, keyboard and full screen

ActionBrowser controls
Mouse and keyboardClick the game area to control the game. Held keys are released when you switch to another tab or window; click the game area again when you return.
Chat and textYou can type Turkish characters and paste into text fields. Open the chat line or an input field before typing.
Full screenUse the full-screen button on the Web Client page; press Esc to leave full screen. This enlarges the browser view and is separate from in-game window and interface settings.

Game audio and voice chat

If game audio has not started, click the game area or press a key; the browser may enable audio only after your first interaction. For voice chat, allow microphone access in the browser and use the push-to-talk setting in Voice Chat. Denying microphone access does not disable normal game audio.

Where are browser settings stored?

Window positions, macros, skill groups and audio preferences are saved in this browser’s site data. These local settings do not transfer when you switch browsers or computers, and they are not shared with the desktop client’s profile folder. Clearing site data may reset your local settings.

Loading and connection checks

  • On the first launch, wait for the game data to download and keep the tab open until loading finishes.
  • If the game area does not respond to keys, click inside it first. For audio problems, check that the tab is not muted and review browser permissions.
  • After an unexpected disconnect, the client makes one automatic reconnection attempt. If it fails, check the message and sign in again yourself. If refreshing the page requires authentication, continue with the same account and provider.
