Target and range

An eligible creature corpse within 4 tiles and line of sight.

What does it do?

When preparation finishes, a helper with 40 health appears at the corpse. Loot stays in the original corpse. It does not make normal attacks; it follows, waits or moves to a chosen point. Its explosion affects the area within one tile around it.

Spirit Speak 0 → 100

At 0 → 100 Spirit Speak, explosion damage is 20 → 35 in PvP and 30 → 55 in PvE, before the applicable Resisting Spells reduction.

Second activation

The second activation has no preparation and costs no mana, reagents or health; it does not spend a free-mana credit. The helper must be within 8 tiles and line of sight. It starts a visible 0.5-second explosion windup. You need not stand still but cannot be preparing another spell. An already armed helper cannot be armed again. Activation works during the main cooldown without restarting it, and triggers 1 second of shared recovery.

Counterplay

Killing the helper, removing it with Dispel or allowing it to expire prevents the explosion; it disappears without exploding.

Limits

One Animate Dead helper may be active, using one control slot. Corpses follow the shared eligibility rules and can be used only once between Animate Dead and Summon Familiar. Mixed groups use separate caps: up to 3 PvP and 5 PvE targets. Player-controlled pets count toward the PvP cap.
