Volantis Ultima Online
Four companion dog types can keep following their owner while the owner is mounted.
Companion Types
Great Dane Dog, Bernard Dog, Black Terrier Dog and Rottweiler Dog are special companions that cannot be ridden. Their STR and DEX are 100. You can have at most one active special companion pet at a time. Double-click your companion nearby to begin following.
Getting a companion
Great Dane Dog, Bernard Dog, Black Terrier Dog and Rottweiler Dog each cost 250 DP under Help → Donate → Companions. Your purchased companion figurine is placed in your backpack; double-click it to summon the companion. You can have at most one active special companion at a time. The separate random dog cycle in the world and the requirements for taming wild animals remain in place.
While following
Your companion follows the route you actually take while walking, running or riding, and catches up beside you when you stop. It does not pass through walls. It can attack only NPC targets and cannot harm players through direct hits, spells, poison, area effects or reflected damage. A listed species is not a promise that a particular vendor sells it.
Travel together
Your active special companion travels with you through Runebooks, moongates and Stuck, including when it is staying or fighting. Travel does not release a passive pet from a figurine in your backpack or from the stables.
When you log out
Once your logout completes, your active special companion dog also leaves the world. The same dog returns when you log in again.
